Please wash hands on arrival at the outside sink and adhere to high hygiene standards as advised by government during covid-19.
We ask all guests adhere to social distancing rules put in place by the government for Covid-19. We also ask that you do not travel to stay at Hilly Cow wigwams if you or any member of your party have symptoms of Covid-19, on day of stay or previous 7 days.
Please be aware communal areas maybe closed during Covid-19 Phases until advised we can re-open them by government.
If using the Hobit room please make all members of your party aware to mind thier head on entering and exiting via Hobit door.
All wigwam rules and Hot tub rules must be adhered to.
SMOKING AREAS – No Smoking in all public access buildings. Smoking is permitted outside only sand bins are provided.
FIRES/BBQ – Permitted in designated areas only. Always attend to and keep your fire under control. Please extinguish prior to retiring for the evening. You are esponsible for any damage/injury caused by your fire/BBQ. Firewood can be purchased on site please do Not cut trees or branches down. BBQ's should be hired on site unless otherwise agreed. Please do not move firepits.
PETS –please be a responsible owner only allow your dog off the lead where appropriate. Clean up after your pet. Bring own pet basket. ONLY Guide dogs are allowed in amenity block WC/Shower block.
WIGWAM KEYS – Please leave wigwam key in the wigwam door on departure. A £10.00 fee will be made in the event of lost keys.
OCCUPANCY/BOOKING – Person making booking is responsible for the booking. The people/numbers stated on the booking information should not be exceeded. Any alterations to bookings are to be confirmed by the Owners prior to arrival and not on arrival. The Owner reserves the right to void/cancel a booking if alterations to a booking are viewed as unapproved or unacceptable. Bookings are non-transferable to 3rd party.
CANCELLATION POLICY – Bookings are confirmed only on receipt of completed booking form together with 50% deposit. Deposit payments are non-refundable. We will endeavor to provide new dates when you can provided sufficient notice . Deposit payments carried forward will be allowed on one occasion only. REfunds will be given if due to government change in Covid-19 phases.
Hilly Cow Wigwams is not liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the event they are prevented from fulfilling your booking as aresult of circumstances beyond their control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots, or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, natural disater, epidemics, health risks or such similar events ("Force Majeure") We recommend that you have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover this.
BEHAVIOUR & CONDUCT – We wish everyone to enjoy their stay at Hilly cow wigwams Please limit noise during the hours of 11pm – 8am. After 11pm please take your party inside while still being considerate of others. Alcohol is not sold on site, guests are permitted to bring their own and to drink responsibly. In the event of misbehaviour/complaints, the Owners reserve the right to terminate your occupancy immediately without refund of monies.
VEHICLES - Always drive carefully on site. Please park in the car park Not on the grass or road.
LITTER/WASTE – On site/Farm, please use the litter/recycling bins provided. If no appropriate bin is available, please take the item home with you. Owners reserve the right to make a charge if Wigwams left in an unsatisfactory condition.
Hilly cow wigwams- Take all reasonable care in the use of all the property & contents including the security of the property, at all times. Report any damages as soon as they occur. We reserve the right to charge for all repairs, losses or replacements necessitated by the negligent act or omission by you or your party. This could include an administration charge.
Lesley and Stewart Barr - As far as the law allows, take no responsibility for loss, damage or injury to you/any of your party or your property, as a consequence of this agreement or the occupancy.
ACCESS – Owners, reserve the right of access to the Wigwams at any reasonable time during your stay and for our agents.
ENVIRONMENT – Reduce, Reuse & recycle .We would ask you to please use the recycling points on site for Glass & tins/cans. Compost bins are also provided (food waste, vegetable peelings and bread can be thrown into the hens or Poppy pig). We are replacing all suitable light bulbs to energy efficient bulbs. Solar lights are used where ever possible. Local shopping is employed (all breakfast baskets food is source locally etc) and encouraged you to do so too during your stay.
Hot Tub Rules
You use the hot tub at your own risk.
No children under 5 years are allowed in the Hot tub. Children should not be in the Hot tub for no more than 15 minutes at a time and must be supervised at all times. Children can only use the Hot tub if parents deem it safe for them to do so.
Please shower before using the hot tub.
No fake tan or moisturiser should be worn in the Hot tub.
Please be aware of slip risk around the hot tub with water spillage.
Long hair should be tied up out of reach of suction pumps.
Pregnant women are not advised to use the hot tub.
Anyone with cardiovascular problems or that is immunosuppression is advised not to use the hot tub.
Please do not take any type of glass into the hot tub only use plastic cups
smoking and vapours are prohibited in the hot tub
We do not advise using the hot tub under the influence of Alcohol.
No sexual acts should be preformed within the hot tub.
No food should be eaten in the hot tub.
Common sense should be used with the hot tub lid, put it back firmly into folded position and/or remove completely , but must be replacded on hot tub when out of hot tub to maintain temperature.
Any damage to the Hot tub will be paid for and failure to follow the rules may lead to the use of the hot tub being withdrawn
