Come to Hilly Cow Wigwams glamping this Autumn
Hilly Cow wigwams is no far from Edinburgh or Livingston with rail and bus services to the local village Kirknewton which is just 2.5 miles from site. What could be better on a gorgeous summers night than relaxing watching the sun set with the camp fire burning. All the fun of camping but with the little luxuries that make it Glamping! If the weather isnt so nice not to worry you have a warm cosy wigwam or can play a game or two in our gamesroom or chat in the kitchen /diner. the kids will love the Play park and visiting the pigmy goat, Gary or the ponnies Henry and Emerald.
We have four Big Chief wigwams (the biggest ones) and three Ensuite Wigwams, all sleeping up to five people. The big chief's have a single bed and a large bedded area that sleeps four and the ensuites have two double beds and a single. There is a counter with kettle shelves for storage, fridge and a heater in all. The wigwams are fully insulated with Velux windows so nice and cosy. All the wigwams have a decking outside for you to relax and enjoy the gorgeous views of the fantastic landscape and then the moonlight starry sky, while roasting marshmallows and drinking wine or hot chocolate round your camp fire.
There are lots of lovely walks and cycle routes. you may wish to do some geocashing or fishing at the local fishery. There are many attractions locally from Potter Around, Mad maxx, Juniper Artland the Five Sisters Zoo, Ratho climbing centre, Edinburgh Castle or Zoo , the Mesem of Scotland or some of the many film sets inWest Lothian or Edinburgh. May be you would like to attend a local event such as , Working Breds Dog show, Antiqes Fair, all held at the Royal Highland Centre Edinburgh, or maybe Hopeton House Fireworks night or Christmas fayre takes your fancy. There is always lots of events on over the Autmn and Winter months in Edinbrgh Food and drink Festival , Christmas markets or the famous Edinburgh Hogmanhay . Livingston has lots to offer to with many shows in the Howden centre.
